Children’s Ministry
At First Presbyterian Church we believe that worship is the response of the whole people of God-and that includes children!
Sunday School
Please note that there will be no Sunday School for youth or children during June, July, and August. However, if you’ve brought your child during the Sunday School hour, you're more than welcome to drop them off in our church nursery. Our caring and attentive nursery staff will be happy to spend time with them while you attend class.
Our regular Sunday School schedule will resume in September.
Wednesday Nights
“Ready, Set, Worship!”
On Wednesday evenings in the months of September-May, we focus our studies on worship participation and Biblical knowledge. We prepare children to fully participate in the worship service through instruction and nurture. We use learning centers and games to teach the different aspects of our worship service. We also focus on helping children learn to use their Bible.
Please note that there is no Wednesday night programming in the months of June-August.
Child Care
Located on the first floor of the Education building, our nursery is designed for newborn children through age two. Because little ones do better with consistency, our paid caretakers work in the nursery every Sunday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. This includes the 10:30 worship service and the Sunday school hour. Nursery care is also provided for special church services and events. If you are unsure if a nursery is provided for a particular activity, please call the church office at 388-1985.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer FPC hosts a week-long VBS to serve our children and those in our community. VBS takes a host of volunteers and there are opportunities big and small.
